Many of us have felt that craving to be like rock stars. And for many of us, the first step toward accomplishing that desire is to purchase an electric guitar. However, with so many guitars out there, which is the best one to buy? Well, there is no “right” electric guitar for the general public. There are some out there that are better than others in terms of quality or price. But it is really a question of what you’re willing to put into your playing, how much you are willing to spend, and what kind of sound you’re looking for. The following guide will provide tips on how to find the best electric guitar out there for you.The first tip for buying an electric guitar is to consider your level of experience and commitment. Someone who has never touched a guitar in his/her life should not drop a thousand dollars on a Clapton Signature Stratocaster. For starters, it is a waste of money to purchase something for which you might not even like. Furthermore, you might decide that playing guitar just isn’t for you. This leads into another important deciding factor in buying an electric guitar: your commitment. If you are already an experienced guitarist who is looking for an electric axe to give some punch to your playing, then you might want to look at mid or high-range models. Even if you’re a beginner who has a burning desire to get better and the fortitude to commit to playing, you can go with a more expensive model. However, if you doubt your commitment or are just buying an electric guitar to occasionally take out and play a few chords on, you’re better off sticking with a low-range model.
