Worst Gift Ideas for Your Girlfriend

As any man will tell you the one person that is the hardest to shop for for any type of gift is undoubtedly their girlfriend. If it at the stage where she is you're wife then you at least have the advantage of prior experience and hindsight, but for perhaps a new girlfriend you might not have had to buy anything much for before, it can be more difficult that most people might imagine.

What women seem to forget is that a lot of men don't have much imagination when it comes to gifts for themselves even, and when they ask their girlfriend what she wants and they get 'oh, just something nice' it really is an accident waiting to happen. However there are several ideas that you shouldn't even entertain for a second because they really wont be appreciated at all, and in fact might land you in serious trouble you really don't need.

Firstly unless she has asked you for something in this area in particular, or is a massive fan, sporting goods of any description are definitely right out. Equipment can make her think you're saying she needs more exercise and things like season tickets are really a gift for you rather then her in disguise. Similarly a signed football jersey with your favorite players signatures on it or a new bowling ball made to fit your own finger sizes really aren't things that anyone else can or will appreciate.

Similarly anything to do with exercise or weight loss, unless she has asked for it especially, (and even then be careful) is a bad idea because it says to her that you don't think shes exercising enough or that shes too fat. Gym memberships, equipment and diet pills all fall into this category, as do things like protein powder or anything for that matter associated with bodybuilding or weight training. This will not only say to her that shes not in shape as much as you might like, but might suggest to her that you want her to bulk up and become more muscular. If she is already into some kind of sport then again these are fine, but otherwise definitely not.
