When I first heard Kirsty Hawkshaw's music at 'MySpace', my first impression was, "Another electronica artist". Oh, but was I ever so wrong.

Only when I decided to really listen, did I discover a multi-talented persona behind the music and artist herself. Kirsty naturally exuberates a warmth and vitality that can really lift a soul out of any gutter.

An extreme non-judgmentalist, she focuses her talent more on the 'cure' rather than the 'self-profit'.

Totally sincere, open and unabashed, one cannot walk away from Kirsty without wanting a natural hug if by chance they've become entrapped in her loving aura. She's just so sweetly optimistic about all life in general. And if you happen to gaze into her eyes long enough, you'll see a remarkable, very perceptive individual, that will transpose your soul with a virtuous signal. Did I forget to mention, there's genius there as well?

Being the daughter of the British production music/film composer and disco record producer Alan Hawkshaw, and with her love for dance music, she became naturally inspired to pursue a career in music.

I, for one, am happy she didn't miss her calling.

As Kirsty's career launched at a rave event in 1991, where she was noticed by producers Ian Munro, Kevin Dobbs and Nigel Walton, her versatility came through shining. Together, they formed a techno and house music group called 'Opus III', that triumphed on the UK singles charts as well as on the U.S. Dance chart. Their first single, "It's A Fine Day" from their debut album Mind Fruit, became an international success and reached the UK Top Ten Singles Chart, and then later hit #1 on the 'Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1992.

After the group's separate mergings in other directions in 1994, Kirsty pursued a solo career and since then has been quite actively involved. One only needs to visit her website for further details.

Today, despite Kirsty continuing to plunge herself forward, still pursuing her career, she strongly propagates messages on the world's environmental issues.
