Problems. We all have them and we all have to learn to deal with them. But what happens when they seem overwhelming and you just want to give up? Are you prepared to live a life of stress and constant worries, waiting for problems to arise, then let them spin out of control, or are you ready to learn from those problems, move up and onward and lead a happier lifestyle?

I was and still am the previous person described above, but despite my pessimistic attitude, I have learned some very valuable things that I'm going to share with you now. These are the 10 steps to deal with life. Follow them. Listen to them. Live them.

1. Smile. Even when you don't feel like it, smile. Ever hear the saying that laughter is the best medicine? There's truth to that. Try it sometime. A smile can be a good start to making you feel better.

2. Don't go it alone. Whether we want to admit it or not, everyone needs someone. Try not to shut out the people you love, the people that will always be there for you. If someone truly cares about you, they will stick by you and support you through anything. Don't be afraid to let them in.

3. Don't worry about what hasn't happened yet. This will only cause more problems. Make your future a future you want to live in. Don't wait for problems to pop up, and if they do, take a deep breath and deal with them, but worrying about them beforehand will only make you sick.

4. Don't waste your time on anger. Anger never solved anything and it usually results in problems arising. Life's way too short to be spent on being angry, so why waste it?

5. Stop complaining. Complaints only hurt someone, most of the time yourself. Instead of complaining, stop and think about what's wrong, then try to find a logical way of resolving the issue.

6. Be a good friend. Friends are there to listen, to console, to support, to advise. They aren't there to be taken for granted. Make sure you are just as good a friend to them as they are to you. This will make life better for everyone.

Takeaways
  • Life is worth living.
  • Laughter is the best medicine.
  • Don't waste your time on anger.
