Review: Beach House Rentals in Venice Beach, California

Venice Beach in California is a top beach that travelers around the world flock to for its diverse culture. You will see artists, street performers and a variable year round carnival. Venice Beach proudly holds the title of 'one of the nation's funkiest towns' and the locals revel in this description. Nowhere else in the world will you find an open air art museum, a street performer utilizing chain saws as the main draw to his act, a roller skating guitar player and a fire blower walking amidst the beautiful, bikini clad California girls.

Venice Beach has it all in regards to real estate as well. You can rent everything from a small bungalow or cottage to a spacious, five bedroom, French Country home. Rates for rentals run the gamut as well. I was able to locate rentals beginning at $70 per night and running up to $6000 per week. Most rentals really prefer to rent for the entire week rather than just a night or two.

Every rental also will have requirements for renters which differ greatly from hotels because these are almost always privately owned residences. For example, we rented a 1250 square foot home that had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. They also had Internet access which was a requirement of mine but not all rentals offer this and in fact, each rental varies in its offerings. This particular owner only rents by the week and although we stayed just six nights, we had to pay for seven nights anyway but we could add extra nights at the rate of $275 per night. The owner required the entire amount upfront plus a $2500 refundable security deposit and a $100 cleaning fee per week.
