About eighteen months ago the supposed lucky city of Denver Colorado was awarded the honor of being the host city for the Democratic National Convention (DNC) to be held August 25th through August 28th. At that time I thought this was a nice honor. We were filled with all of these happy thoughts on how much of a boon for Denver this will be. Supposedly millions of dollars will come into Denver for the convention. The entire world will see how terrific Denver is and businesses will want to move to Denver and relocate millions of employees. Denver will grow like the gold rush days of our early history.

The first task at hand was to raise forty to fifty million dollars for this big party. The sponsor city has to provide all the money for this big convention. Raising that kind of cash should not be any problem. Donors were waiting in lines to step up to the plate and give more than their fair share. As the months go by for some reason the donors have not eagerly pledged their support to finance this gigantic venture for the city of Denver. Last month the final deadline was missed by eleven million dollars. Is there a chance that this venture is not as lucrative as originally presented? Oh, by the way, this convention is also going to draw thousands of demonstrators and protesters to the fair city of Denver.

Recently the key to the Pepsi center (the place where the convention is to be held) was handed over to The DNC. Immediately the destruction of the Pepsi sports arena was started by tearing out rows of seats and adding stages and platforms the fit the needs of the DNC. If the final eleven million dollar donation is not generated does that mean that the DNC can walk away from the trashing of the Pepsi Center and the City of Denver will have to pay for the expense of turning back the sports arena so that the Denver Nuggets and the Colorado Avalanche will have a place to play their games this fall?

Well, you can't expect the Messiah to speak at the Pepsi auditorium can you? Don't you get it Brother? For the Messiah to give a Sermon on the Mount ya need mountains. What is just west of Denver? Now you're feeling me. I'm gonna pen an article about his later today, so keep an eye out if you're interested. Oh, and let's not forget, even though the Messiah is the presumptive nominee, Re-Create '68, that group that thinks the Chicago Dem Convention in 1968 was the greatest ever, was in the news this morning announcing their plans to be at the convention. How nice for Denver.
