A meeting between Javier Solana of the European Union and Iranian officials netted no results as the Iranian government stated categorically that they would not halt the enrichment of Uranium. Also, present at the meeting was William Burns, which was thought to be a good indicator as to the possibility of open talks and possible reconciliation. This hope in large part was due to the fact that, U.S. and Iranian diplomats have not had face to face meetings in about thirty years.

Nevertheless, the meeting amounted to nothing more than a stalemate. The Iranian government will not stop enriching Uranium which is the prerequisite for any negotiations with the United States. It also seems that the European Union is getting a little impatient with the Middle East Nation, because now they have set a time limit for Iran to stop its enrichment of Uranium and that time is short. If the Iranian government does not cease its nuclear ambitions in two weeks they will face further sanctions, which is certain to lead to the suffering of the Iranian people.

We are seeing a picture develop here and it seems to be a carbon copy of the times leading up to the war with Iraq. The United States is giving ultimatums; the United Nations Security Council passes resolutions, and then the United States acts. We must wonder if the Iranian leaders were paying attention before Iraq fell and Saddam Hussein was hung for his crimes. Is this just a matter of pride with the Persian Nation, or are they just being foolish? It seems to me that they were saying that their nuclear ambitions were peaceful and it was only to be used for power.

U.S. Clock is Still Ticking for War with Iran

Time is ticking and when the clock strikes twelve, there will be no going back.

Your well-written article U.S. Clock is Still Ticking for War with Iran is quite frightening, as I am living in the middle of this whole mess - a small country called Israel - The First World War was called the 'War to End All Wars' - The Second World War was called' War for Everlasting Peace' - but, The Third World War will never be called as man will be erradicated

Nick, you and I have an advantage in that we both know what The Book prophesies and we believe it is true. But I am not afraid for My King will protect me with His timing. We humans tend to see things with "our time"; however, God's clock is entirely different than ours. I look forward to bowing before my King, no matter how I get there! VERY GOOD ARTICLE!!!!

Great points but the part that I did not want to mention in the article was tactics. However, since the issue has been drawn in. Iran's missiles are nothing more than glorified scuds, much like Saddam had during the first Gulf War. Iran will likely be attacked via long range cruise missles fired from ships stationed in the Persian Gulf, as well as tactical air strikes from about 30,000 feet. There will be o ground forces going into Iran although they may be used to secure the Iraqi borders. Hezzbulah will be decimated by the Israelis even if they must go back into Lebanon to do it and they will even consider Syria as a potential target as well. Whether or not this gets the rest of the Nations involved is irellevant because short term outcomes are being considered here and it is only a form of gambling that this turned into what the Globalists want. As it stands, the dollar is dying and the United States simply has nothing to lose. We will ave to wait and see the outcome.

This has been intricately planned from the beginning, or were you now aware. The "weapons of mass destruction" argument in order to go in to Iraq in the first place. The pictures this week of Iran's one long range missle capable of reaching Israel, and the dramatization of how "dangerous" this is to Israel (when Israel has nukes we've provided). I don't sympathize at all with Iran, but don't you think that it is a little hypocritical of the western nations to demand that the eastern nations not develop nuclear weapons of their own in order to protect their countries, when we have enough of our own to wipe out the planet twice over. If you were the leader of Iran, would you not take steps to protect your country. That's just basic human behavior, whether western or eastern. Until everyone gets rid of their nukes.......that truly is the only way to stop Armageddon if the U.S., Israel and Europe continue to threaten them with the use of ours.

You are right, it is alot like the buildup to Iraq. We have a president who has already decided to find a way to attack, and it most likely just going through a parody of trying to avoid it. It doesn't help that Iran's leader is as hell bent for war as ours is. As for your outcome, don't be so sure. If any attack goes beyond just a bombing run. look for enough disruptions to oil to drive the US economy over the edge. Look for Hezbollah to hit Israel again. Look for insurgency activity in Iraq to skyrocket. Look for Afghanistan to become even more of a problem. Look for widespread defections from the Iraqi army, up to whole units who will go to the other side. All because we have "leadership" in the US, Israel, and Iran - who salivate for war.
