Visiting the zoo is typically a fun family activity. In addition to being fun, a visit to the zoo can be highly educational as well, particularly for children. And if one visit to the zoo can be educational, think of how much a child could learn about the animals at the zoo if they had the opportunity to visit the zoo many times per year. Children who visit the zoo many times per year get the opportunity to learn much more about the animals living there than if they only visited once or twice per year. Visiting the zoo many times per year affords a child the opportunity of being able to see the animals and how they behave at different times of the day. They will be able to observe the different energy levels of the animals at different times of day, perhaps see one animal during feeding time one day, and then another animal as it plays with another inhabitant of its enclosure on a different day. It's next to impossible to see all of these different aspects of the zoo animals' lives and behaviors in just one day.Fortunately, there is a way for children and their parents to visit their local zoo many times per year. Most zoos offer a family annual pass for sale. These zoo passes are valid for one full year after the date of purchase, and allow entry of family members to the zoo during normal business hours every day that the zoo is open. Since most zoos are open every day of the year except Christmas, families really can visit the zoo and observe the animals almost every single day if they wanted to. The best part about zoo annual passes is that they are very reasonably priced. Most zoos offer annual passes for less than $100 for the entire family for the entire year. Many zoos offer annual passes at nearly half that price.
