Three Tips for Avoiding Problems with Grouchy Disneyland Employees

Most people who have visited Disneyland at any time in the past would agree that Disneyland employees, called Cast Members, are usually extremely pleasant. Whether you need help finding a particular restaurant or the price of a souvenir item, Cast Members have always been easy to find, and easy to deal with. However in the last couple of years, this seems to be changing. After decades of pleasant employees, there appear to be more and more employees working for Disneyland who are not so pleasant. This is a trend that has many faithful Disneyland fans concerned that the atmosphere of their beloved park is changing for the worse. If you are planning an upcoming trip to Disneyland, consider these tips to help you avoid any mishaps with grouchy cast members.

Pay attention at the entrance gates.Some of the Disneyland cast members working the entrance gates seem to have forgotten that just because they've gone through the admission process thousands of times, their guests have not. Some cast members at this location get quite snippy when it comes to the process of taking tickets, allowing for strollers to pass through, and moving people through the line. So watch ahead of you and figure out the drill before it's your turn to enter, particularly if you have small children and strollers with you.

Be mindful of parade preparation. Last year when we were at Disneyland, a cast member barked at my son because he was skimming his hand along the top of the barrier rope as we walked through the area to get to another location of the park. In all the years we have been going to Disneyland, we had never encountered behavior like this and we were shocked. We didn't complain or say anything to her, but I have to admit, it definitely took some of the "magic" out of our visit.
