Association is the most powerful mnemonic and is very easy to use.
The greatest minds in history used associations in their notes to reinforce memory.
The thing that makes associations so powerful is that anything can be associated with just about anything, whether it is something relevant to something else or vice versa. For example, let us say that you want to memorize the keys to a keyboard, like the home keys. The most expected association that we could make with the keys is with our fingers. People use this association because it is one that seems appropriate, since we use our fingers to type on a keyboard. Yet, in reality we can make more associations with the keys on a keyboard, like with two glasses of soda. The way we grip the two glasses can be how we position our fingers on the home keys.

My associations, like the one above, may not make sense to you because it is my association.
Everyone has their own unique associations because everyone in life is unique.
So, it is very possible to make your very own association because you are so unique.

When making your own associations, don't ask how the two things are connected, but ask how you could make the connection between the two things you are associating.

Association is a very powerful and easy to use mnemonic that can be use to make connections between anything.
