We often hear about female health problems. But male health problems are not discussed as frequently. For this reason men and the women who love them do not know enough about them. For example, there are things about the penis and how it should be functioning that people do not know.

When you think of health problems of the penis, many times people will grin, thinking it is funny. But it is not funny. The penis is a vital part of the man. If it doesn’t function properly, it could be a signal that a major health problem is developing.

Dr. Steven Lamm wrote a book entitled: THE HARDNESS FACTOR. In this book he describes many things about the penis and indicators that something may be wrong. Here is a brief summary of some of his findings.

First, the next time you hear the term Erectile Dysfunction please do not laugh. It is not funny. This is not just a problem for a man in his sex life. This can be a sign that the man is beginning to develop a serious health problem such as a stroke. Left untreated
This condition could even lead to death.

When a man has erectile dysfunction blood vessels in his penis are not working properly. The blood vessels in a man’s penis are smaller than the ones to his heart. For this reason, the penis can be the first organ that shows signs that there is a problem. Along with erecticle dysfunction the man could also be suffering from high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

When should a man see a doctor if he develops erectile dysfunction? A man should see a doctor when he begins having problems performing sexually on a regular basis for a few months.

It is common for man to have a failure once in a while. This is not anything for a man to fear. But when it continues, then the man should see his doctor.

Men should also have regular errections every day. How many depends on the man. Most men awake aroused and become aroused a time or two in the middle of the night. This is the time when testerone levels are higher in men. If men do not have regular errections, this is a sign of low testerone levels.

Low testerone levels can led to many health problems. An estimated 40% of men over the age of 45 suffer from low testerone levels.

Takeaways
  • Erectile dysfunction can be a signal that some serious health problems are beginning.
  • Men should have erections every day.
  • Yes, the penis can become fractured.
Did You Know?
An estimated 40% of men over the age of 45 suffer from low testosterone levels.
