Jimmy Carter’s recent visit to Cuba and follow-up propaganda is reminiscent of Neville Chamberlain’s statements regarding his belief that the German government had genuine grievances and that agreeing to some of Adolph Hitler’s demands would avoid a European War. A mindset that led to the signing of the Munich Agreement on September 29th 1938, and the rest is history.

Carter stated, on his article titled “Find Common Ground on Cuba”, “There is little doubt that further reforms are thwarted by harsh demands from Washington or Miami, which alienate Cubans”. He praised Cuba’s “superb system of education and health” and belittles our government’s declaration that Cuba is indeed capable of bio-terrorism. Furthermore, Carter excluded members of the 30th of November organization, one of the largest and most active dissident groups in the Island, from participating in his discussion and thus assuring the desired outcome.

It is absurd that an individual who reached the pinnacle of power in our country would make statements as idiotic as “Cuba has superb system of education and health”, and would imply that the bio-terrorism threat from Cuba is non-existent, a total contradiction to our government’s recent declaration.

It is obvious that Castro manipulated Carter’s naiveté, not unlike what Hitler’s did with Chamberlain. It is also obvious that Carter’s motivation is not the welfare of the Cuban people but rather the well being of his friends and associates who salivate as they dream of supplying products to that slave market, knowing and wanting the American tax payer to be eventually responsible for that debt. He prioritizes his desire to “see unrestricted trade”, and neglects the condition of hundreds of political prisoners and continuous violations of the entire population’s Human Rights.

Takeaways
  • Jimmy Carter, America's Neville Chamberlain
  • Carter's naivete justifies Castro's dictatorship
  • Carter and Castro perfect together
