Tips to Help You Have an Amazing Vacation in Venice Beach, California

Venice Beach, California, is one of the Los Angeles cities that are the most fun. Right next to the beautiful Pacific Ocean, the city of Venice Beach is always crowded, always fun, and always hip, cool and different. Follow these quick tips, and you'll stay at a nice hotel, see some great things, eat fabulous food, have some great nights out, buy some seriously cool stuff, and still have a safe time in Venice Beach.

1. Where To Stay in Venice Beach - Venice Beach has some wonderful hotels and hostels and in many different price ranges. For a cheap yet clean and fun place to stay, I highly recommend the Hostel California on Lincoln Boulevard. It's a short bus ride from the beach, but clean, safe and not expensive, and run by the nicest people you could meet. For more expensive places, the Best Western Marina Pacific hotel is nice, as is the Venice Rose hotel. If you want somewhere quieter to stay, You can also stay at any of the hotels in Santa Monica, as it's only five minutes by car from here to Venice Beach or about 15 minutes on the bus.

2. Where to Eat in Venice Beach - The Rose Cafe on Rose Avenue has some of the best food in LA. Awesome pancakes, salads, club sandwiches and desserts and at prices that won't bankrupt you. Also check out Chin Chin if you like Chinese food, Jody Maroni's for the most amazing hot dogs, or Abbot's Pizza Company on Abbot Kinney for perfect local pizza. Venice is actually quite a cheap place to eat with a lot of choice. You can grab snacks on the boardwalk overlooking the ocean or eat at one of the fifty or so restaurants there. Or you can walk a couple of blocks inland, and eat at one of the many restaurants on Main Street.
