Bridge to an Island

... And I remember this position all too well, seated for three years, I wrote at this place; I wrote, pouring out my heart, an open book, for all to see, and I cried, I cried many nights in front of glass box letting all my feelings flow through my fingerprints, and I cant dare to forget how I grew, I grew in so many ways and all the love that I had given to these words with one click was gone, erased from anymore eyes to view or any other hearts to be touched. a life-altering decision, a site shut down, a life silenced out, a voice closed from revealing its innermost desires and passions for one long year. however, this voice, this life, this passion could never be finished, as for one year, I have been waiting and itching for my chance to create something inspiring with these new words that complete me and the time has come to begin. For it has been far too long since I glanced over these pages that use to be filled with my writings, and tonight, I read over some of the past, wondering who's writing this all reflects? I wondered if I was living in some sort of dream world or if I was deceiving myself being so naive? How can me life be so picture perfect? How if all of this is so wrong could I strive to live for so much more? Its been far too long since I have thought in these terms, in these concepts as my fingers typed miles on this screen. There is so much to write, so many different directions to go, as my body and mind are torn in just the same, tonight my heart on the chopping block waiting on words or waiting on some sort of flare, firework shot up into the sky to let me know that we will be alright, and we will conquer this latest battle. I am waiting for a sign to know we will not be destroyed under the weight of our enemy. As I sit, warming this chair that knows me all too well, I realized that I either write or I cry, it is one or the same, as either way I would be bottling up something and presenting it for those to see.
