Tailor's Dilemma
Embed:
An unusually fat man with a bulging belly went to a tailor for stitching a suit. The mere sight of the man from a distance sent shivers in the tailor's heart. He feared that the door would have to be removed to allow access. However, this fear was overcome without much damage. The man squeezed through the door way and took a seat in front of the tailor. The chair started sinking. On perusal the tailor found that the steel pipe frame of the cigar was succumbing to the heavy weight of the gentleman. Then came the critical hour for measurements.Normally the tailor took waist measurements by holding the tape with both hands. This method did not work with the over dimensional consignment. He took one end of the tape but could not catch the other end from the same position. The tape slipped and fell.
After a few trials he succeeded. An innovative method was applied. He took one end of the tape, asked the gentleman to hold it tight , went around him and completed one circle. Thus both ends of the tape met and the measurements were taken. But the suit length he brought for stitching was found inadequate. So he suggested a fat shedding programme for the client. To his luck the client never returned to the shop. Thus he saved himself from a great dilemma.
