This is our pick list for the best BBQ in Chicago. Our list is in order of preference based on food quality, atmosphere and value for price charged. With so many Barbeque spots in the metropolitan area we tried, in most cases, to focus on the main Chicago area.

Nick's Pit Stop: Best BBQ located on North Damen, Chicago
Not very well known, but has the best BBQ Chicken and Sausage. Reasonable prices at about #12 per plate. Open daily for Lunch and dinner. Super BBQ

 Beef, Pork and Chicken. Has in city delivery. Not the most well known but should be soon due to quality of food and value at prices charged.

Smokin Woody's located on North Lincoln, Chicago
This is really decent Bar B Que - Dine in or carry out for lunch or dinner. Several choices for BBQ sauce and therefore flavor. The classic was our favorite. Down south BBQ hut atmosphere with great outdoor patio. Super Food at Super Prices with almost everything under $10 and taste like three times that. Chicken Pork Beef, ribs, sausages and sandwiches. You name it they have it.

Fireplace Inn
The Fireplace Inn has been pleasing Chicago BBQ fans for almost 40 years with fantastic BBQ ribs. This is an expensive but fantastic restaurant with lots of warm cozy atmosphere. Every kind of BBQ meats and sauces you can imagine. Appetizers run from $7.50 to $11.50 or more, on market price King Crab Legs. Entrées are not inexpensive either, running from $16 to $33 dollars. Be informed for groups of 7 or more they automatically add an 18% gratuity.

The BBQ Pit on Elm Place in Highland Park.
This is an excellent but very expensive resturant. The menu presented to us had Appetizers priced at $8 to $14 and entrees at $15 to $25 each. This restaurant is known as especially good at BBQ Ribs.Great Food - good family Atmosphere but you pay for it. Many loyal customers that rave about the food at this restaurant.
