Home Decorating Even While Camping Will Brighten Up Your World

Is your personality such that at home your yard is perfectly tailored? Crisp borders, around your perfectly trimmed shrubs? Grass cut religiously every Thursday afternoon so it looks it's best over the weekend? Everything in it's place and absolutely no indication that there might be children res
iding within your walls?

Well guess what, come Friday afternoon things change. Everybody's got a flip side so to speak. The normal Monday through Friday persona that gets left behind the minute the Camper is hitched up behind the Suburban and the swimming noodles and inflatable toys get strapped to the roof.

Weekends are for fun, for letting your hair down, for forgetting about your ongoing race with the Smith's next door as to who is living the American Dream to the fullest. It's time to be yourself.

Camping is the perfect opportunity to relax and leave the competition behind. Show your hidden side, the real you that is never allowed out of the box in proper day to day society. Things that would hardly be acceptable in your front yard at home are absolutely delightful when added around your campsite.

It might be a flock of Pink Plastic Flamingo's on metal rods, that get planted like daffodils. Or whirly gigs and wind socks made of colorful nylon material might be more to your liking. Those with green thumbs may bring along a few potted plants and flowers, or a hanging basket over run with beautiful blossoms.

There are no rules, the more ridiculous the better. Commonly the area shaded by the roll out awning defines the outdoor room. An area rug fashioned from some indoor/outdoor carpeting. Green to imitate grass is very popular, though I like the idea of being different. A 12x20 piece of imitation turf that not only defines the space but actually helps keep dirt from being tracked into the recreational vehicle.

A string of lights along the edges of the awning, who ever dreamed up that idea is the king of tacky in my mind. Weird shapes and colors, they serve no purpose other then to decorate in a somewhat tasteless manner.
