Was John Edwards Caught with Another Woman and a Love Child?

John Edwards has never been the type one would suspect of having an affair and a love child. After all, John Edwards wife Elizabeth is fighting cancer and John Edwards would have had to hide affairs in the midst of presidential campaigns and trying to be Barack Obama's Vice President nominee. But the National Enquirer is still asking people to believe that John Edwards has been caught in an affair and with a love child. Though the National Enquirer has hardly been a reputable news source, the reports of John Edwards affair and love child have made some believe that the National Enquirer could be right this time.

John Edwards has reportedly had an affair and a love child with documentarian Rielle Hunter. The National Enquirer had spies covering the Beverly Hilton one night at 9 PM. Hunter had two rooms rented under her name, according to the National Enquirer.

At 9 PM., the Enquirer reported to have seen John Edwards enter one of Hunter's room. Edwards was not seen leaving the room until 3 AM. Once he left the hotel, the National Enquirer photographers and reporters were able to catch him quickly. Edwards ran back into the hotel basement and had to be escorted out of the hotel by hotel security.

The National Enquirer had previously reported in October 2007 that Edwards was in an affair with Hunter, whose video production company documented the Edwards presidential camp in 2006. When Hunter got pregnant in late 2007, she stated that the father was the Edwards campaign Director of Finance Andrew Young.

Edwards and Hunter both denied the Enquirer's report of an affair and a love child on October 11, with not much made out of it afterwards. But the Enquirer kept trying to get more out of it until finally seeming to catch Edwards and Hunter at the hotel.

If any of these reports are proven true by more reputable sources, the negative PR Edwards would get for having an affair on a wife who is fighting cancer could be disastrous. Any slim hopes Edwards may have had to be considered by the Obama campaign for an important position would likely be in trouble as well.
