As of 1:55 p.m. CST, Hurricane Dolly is making its way to the Texas coastline. The town of Edinburg, Texas, and Brownsville, Texas, are experiencing high levels of debris in the road and power outages. New shelter locations have opened in the Rio Grande area and are expected to be fully function by 5pmCST. The shelter points of interest to most residents in this area will include those at the three major high schools: Pace High School, Porter High School, and Hanna High School. It is unknown how long these shelters will remain open in the coming days. Additionally, pets are not welcome so arrangements for your family friends will need to be made prior to coming to the shelters.
