Iced Coffee ~ a Refreshing Summer Coffee Drink in 30 Seconds or Less

My Recipe Saves You Time, Money and Gas (and Probably a Whole Lotta Calories)

My Iced Coffee recipe is one of the easiest and cheapest coffee drinks you can make at home on a hot summer day. The taste rivals any coffee house drink, and costs only pennies per glass. This Iced Coffee recipe has a wonderful, rich taste that is just sweet enough. My recipe is so
simple, too ~ just four ingredients! Try it out ~ it should spark some "Coffee Talk" at your home.

Jennifer's Iced Coffee

Ingredients

Instant Coffee (1 tsp)

Equal or other sweetener (2 packets)

Crushed ice

Milk (lowfat or whatever you like)

Put the kettle on, or boil about 1/4 cup water in the microwave in a pyrex measuring cup. Meanwhile, find a tall drinking glass in your cupboard. Add about 1 rounded tsp. instant coffee to the glass (use more for a stronger drink). Add two packets of sweetener to the glass. Then, pour a few tablespoons boiling water into the glass and stir to dissolve. Fill the glass about halfway with crushed ice. Then, pour cold milk to fill the glass almost up to the top. Stir. If you're feeling decadent, top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. (I don't think any topping is necessary, though.) Enjoy!

I hope this Iced Coffee recipe hits the spot for you, and saves you time and money too! Please leave a comment if you enjoy my recipe, or have your own variation you'd like to share :)

I've never really gotten into iced coffee :) Who knows, one day I may be into it though! Never say never!

Hi Jennifer, Diana here (dianapinions at Eps). Finally had a chance to check you out on AC. During the warmer months, I have iced coffee nearly every day, made almost the same way you make it. The only difference, is that I don't even boil the water! Some brands of instant coffee (such as Folgers), dissolve perfectly well in cold water. Great stuff, I agree! I usually can even make it in a hotel room, using the hotel's ice machine. Delicious recipe, Jennifer. Diana
