The family of Merlinda Duckett is suing CNN Talk Show Host Nancy Grace on the basis that the CNN interview sent Merlinda Duckett to her death. Merlinda Duckett committed suicide with a shot gun a day after CNN aired her interview with CNN host Nancy Grace.

The police believed that Trenton Duckett was still alive. Though Merlinda Duckett was the prime suspect of her sons disappearance.

The interview that was pitched as a way to bring Trenton Duckett to the public’s attention. Merlinda Duckett believed that Nancy Grace was trying to use the media to help find her son. What started as a compassionate story turned out to be an interrogation. Before it was over, Grace was slamming her hands on the desk and demanding Merlinda Duckett to answer the questions of her location that fatal day.

Jay Paul Deratany, the attorney representing Duckett's estate says “It’s not about the questioning. Grace improperly took on the role of a law enforcement officer.” Merlinda Ducketts parents believe that the interview looked like a cross examination in a court room.

Nancy Grace is known for her hard nose interviews. We simply have to look at interviews from the past.

CNN denied to comment about the lawsuit and is seeking damages. A spokeswoman from CNN stated that they stand by Nancy Grace.

If your talking about how good Nancy Grace is as an investigatvie television host. Then I have to agree with you. I don't think Nancy was the only reason why Ms. Duckett commited suicide.

I stand by Nancy Grace too. If she hadn't hit on some truth, that girl wouldn't have shot herself. I like Nancy Grace and I think she handles things very well. Merlinda was found out, that's all there is to it.
