Santa Clause Ice Cream Sundae Craft Project

Fun to Make and Fun to Eat

Looking for a simple craft project made of food that the kids can eat? This simple Santa inspired ice-cream sundae is sure to become a family tradition every year at Christmas. It is so easy to make and uses traditional ingredients
in a regular old icecream Sundaes in an unexpected way! So let out those ice cream scoops, lay a vinyl tablecloth out, and let the kids make their own Santa Clause Sundae Edible craft Creations.

To Make This Simple Santa Clause Ice-cream Sundae You Will Need:

Ice Cream Scoop
Vanilla Ice Cream (or chocolate)
Can of ready Whip
Raisins or Chocolate Chips
Sprinkles
Sugar Cones (the pointy kinds)
Other fun candy embellishments
Red Food Coloring
Water
Clean unused paintbrush or basting brush

The first step is to have the kids start to paint their ice-cream cones red. I like to so this with watered down red food coloring. Just take one cup of water and start adding red food coloring until it reached the desired color. Now, have the kids paint their cones red. Tell them not to go too heavy on the watery food coloring or it will make the cone soggy.

In place of the food coloring you could use those food safe markers found in the cookie aisle.

Now, take one big scoop of vanilla ice cream and place it in the kids bowl. This will be Santa Clauses head. You can make his hair with the Ready Whip from the can.

Top him off with his new red hat. Use the Ready Whip to add a small snowball on the tip of the cone.

Now, let the kids really have fun decorating their ice cream Sundae Santa clause.

Raisins can be eyes as well last the chocolate chips. Shoestring Twisslers make a great mouth.

Sprinkles can be added as well in a variety of ways.

Try using sugar cookies for the arms. The kids could also use gel icing in a tube to write, “Welcome to the North Pole” or even “Ho Ho Ho.”

Hot fudge and caramel are also great on this simple Santa Clause sundae.

If you can find that premade cotton candy in white, then that also makes a great Santa Clause beard or hair.

Regular red Twisslers also make great arms and can have black gum drops at the end fro Santa Clauses mittens,
