To Make This Gum Drop snowman Christmas ornament You Will need:
3 white gum drops
Red gum drop
Orange gumdrop
Blue gumdrop or green gum drop
Christmas tree metal ornament hook
2 Black gum drops
Scissors
Toothpick
Ornament hooks
The first step it to open up your wire ornament hook. If you find that it is not long enough for the size of your three white gum drops then you could cut off a longer piece of metal coat hanger or even some thick floral wire.
Now, bend up the end of the metal hook into a loop like a candy cane. This is the bottom of the hook. Now, slide the first white gum drop down on the opened metal ornament hook. Slide the second white gum drop down on the first one. Now, repeat with the final white gum drop. You can use a smaller gumdrop for the final one, which is the head.
Now, use the scissors to cut off the bottom of your back gumdrop, like a disk. Slide this down onto the snowman head like the flat part of the top hat. Now, turn the remainder of the black gumdrop over. Slide it down on the hook as the top of the top hat. You will see that many gumdrops are smaller at the top; them will create a neat looking top hat when the gumdrop is flipped over.
Now, cut off a strip of your green or blue gumdrop. Work it into a long thin piece with your hands. Wrap it around the top hat like the band around the hat.
Now, cut out small piece from another black gumdrop for the eyes and coal buttons.
You can cut out the carrot nose form the orange gumdrop. Just press on the gumdrop details and they will stick the snowman easily.
You can also cut out a scarf out of the leftover green or blue gumdrop.
You can play around with almost any color of gumdrop to make all kinds of details on your gumdrop snowman ornament.
Finally, insert some toothpicks for the arms!
