How to Pimp Your Pencil

It's human nature to want to personalize objects you own. We do this to add flare, pizazz and personality mass produced products. Whats more bland that the average No. 2 pencil? I have a few tips on tricking out this extremely useful tool of communication.

Spinners. Take the wheels off a Matchbox car and attach them to your favorite writing utensil. Now at least writers block doesn't equal
 boredom.

Hanging ornaments. Find some string and wrap a small object around it. Examples: shrunken head, voodoo doll, siblings' baby tooth, etc.

Macaroni art! Use paste to get the noodles to stick. The irony is doing this would come from you creating a work of are, while using a word of art.

Racing stripes. Grab a Sharpie and carefully draw a pair straight lines on the pencil. If you're really skilled, go ahead and draw some flames near the eraser.

shards of glass. When the light hits it at a certain angle, it will look pretty. Plus, Glass is a good security measure. No one can steal your pencil if they cant handle it.

Gnaw on it. You'd be surprised at the designs your teeth marks can make. It's not the most sanitary option, but nobody else should be using your pencil anyway.

First I would have to find my pencil. I'm great for carrying pens/pencils off somewhere and not having one when I need one.
