Rocky Horror Picture Show to be Remade

According to a Variety article, MTV will be remaking the 1975 cult classic, Rocky Horror Picture Show. Jim Sharman and Richard O'Brien's original screenplay will be used, and music not previously featured in the 1975 film may make a debut appearance. A timetable for the start of production has not yet been set forth and casting is not finalized.

Hairspray the Sequel

New Line Cinema made a deal with Hairspray master mind, John Waters, to create a sequel to the 2007 flick. Tony-winning songwriters Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman will write new songs for the film. Zack Efron is expected to return to the cast, while other cast members have yet to be confirmed. The studio plans to have the film completed and out by 2010.

The official movie poster for Jennifer's Body is finally out. The film, written by Cody and directed by Jason Reitman, will be released next year. Meghan Fox stars as a cheerleading demon that starts feeding off of boys in a small farm town. Her best friend tries to stop her and find the Satan worshiping rock band responsible for Fox's demon ways.
