12 Possibilites for Brett Favre

Brett Favre wants to play football again, but the Green Bay Packers don't want him to play there. They have moved on. Instead of releasing or ignoring Favre, they have decided to do the smart thing and trade him, try to get something in return. They would
likely only get a 3rd round pick, but at least this way they get to pick his destination and those 3rd round picks often times turn into decent players. Now the question looks like it is not if Brett Favre will play, but where (drafting him in the 13th round of my fantasy draft is looking smarter and smarter.) Here are twelve possibilities for where Favre could suit up for in the 2008 season.

New York Jets

I like the idea of Brett going to the Jets. The Jets are in need of a quarterback and would have better receiving options than many teams in need of quarterbacks have. We would get to see Favre's Jets take on Brady's Patriots twice a year, since they would be division rivals, which would add more excitement to an all ready great rivalry. Favre would be an upgrade over both Chad Pennington and Kellen Clemens.

Miami Dolphins

Miami is probably the one team that would greatly need him. He would give them someone to mentor young quarterbacks Chad Henne and John Beck, and give them a chance to see how the greatest quarterback of all time plays football, on a daily basis. Those young guys could really learn a lot from him. However, I highly doubt that there will ever be enough love lost between the Packers and Favre for them to send him to the Dolphins.

Baltimore Ravens

This is a possibility I like. The Ravens are kind of in the same situation as the Vikings, good almost everywhere except the passing game, except for they are out of the division and less of a threat to the Packers. However, seeing Willis McGahee and Brett Favre and the backfield is not nearly as good as the possibility of seeing Favre with Adrian Peterson in Minnesota.

Houston Texans

Houston has said that they are content with Matt Schaub and Sage Rosenfels at quarterback, but neither of those guys are established quarterbacks in this league, so why wouldn't they want Brett Favre for a year or two.

Minnesota Vikings

I'm thinking the Packers are probably fed up with the off/on nature of his decision making process and I think they've made their commitment going forward. Oh man, can you imagine Packer Brett Favre going back into Lambeau with the Purple Uni of the Vikings on? Good God. Interesting thought on Miami....
