A weather kit should include the following items; sun block, sunglasses, poncho, or windbreaker. But the preparation doesn't stop there. Pants or long sleeve shirts is a must have in the California weather. Do not forget to wear water shoes. These shoes can withstand the water.

Do you plan on consuming drinks or food products while on this fishing trip? Then antibacterial soap will be your best friend. Many fish and fishing equipment has funny odors and bacteria. To prevent spreading of bacteria and various other elements, it is best to use antibacterial hand soap.

A cooler is another essential to carry along on any fishing adventure. The cooler will keep the food and beverages fresh and cold. Spoiled food and warm beverages is a no-no for any fishermen. Two coolers may be better than one. Why? One cooler can contain the ice cold beverages while the other cooler holds the food.

Not all fishermen have sea legs. Motion sickness happens to the best of us. We all have experienced this sickness at once in our lives. It doesn't mean defeat. Motion sickness tablets are available to those who become ill from the motion of a boat. Always pack these tablets. Even if you have never been sea sick before, it can still happen to you.
