Wanting to "rough it" in the Tampa area, or do you simply desire to get a little closer to nature? Then consider these three great campgrounds!

Bay Bayou RV Resort

Located in the western fringe of Tampa, Bay Bayou RV Resort offers RVers a comfortable, beautiful facility with a new clubhouse, new bathing quarters, a heated pool, and mature trees.

Bay Bayou offers electrical, telephone, water, and sewer service, and docks where you can drop a hook and reel in a catch or two from Double Branch Creek. Bay Bayou also offers pool tables, shuffleboard, Wi-Fi service, and will soon introduce DSL.

Southern Aire Travel Resort
10511 Florence Avenue
Thonotosassa, FL. 33592
(813) 986-1596

A leisurely drive away from Busch Gardens, and near U.S. 301, Interstate-4, and Interstate-75 is Southern Aire Travel Resort, a facility which features a woodsy, tranquil oasis complete with its own lake, an Olympic-size swimming pool, Wi-Fi service, a schedule of things to do, a clubhouse, and much more.

Southern Aire is convenient to the Fowler Avenue exit (265) of Interstate-75, is near the intersection of U.S. 301 and Mango Road, and is only a few miles north of Interstate-4; take the Mango Road exit and head north to Florence Avenue.

Southern Aire is located a stone's throw northeast of Tampa in adjacent Thonotosassa. Nearby Fowler Avenue takes you right down to all the restaurants, shopping, and activity nearby the University of South Florida, Busch Gardens, Adventure Island (a water park), and the Museum of Science and Industry.
