Do you say "Thank you" more or "You're Welcome" more? Think about it.

Okay, have the answer? Well, if you are in the "Thank you" column, then stop for a minute and be grateful that life has bestowed upon you its treasures. If, however, you are in the "You're Welcome" column, then stop for a minute and curse the continued screwing that life never seems to stop giving you.

You see, it's like this, if you are saying thank you a lot, then that means people are doing things FOR you. If you are saying you're welcome more so than thank you, then you are the one who is always the one doing the "doing." Yeah, sucks doesn't it?

This little self-test is a measure to see where we fit in our jobs and marriages. Hopefully, for everyone reading this, you are all "thank you" people. It would be my guess that most "thank you" people have a car less than three years old, have a spouse that doesn't scare the hell out of you when looking at them, and have a wardrobe that reads "Tommy Hilfiger" instead of "Tommy Chong."

Anyhow, if you are in the "You're Welcome" crowd. Try to stop and smell the weeds. Hell, it can't be all bad. Look at it like this. You will never have to worry about asking for a raise. You probably have had your self esteem beaten all to hell and don't feel you are worth one. You probably don't have to tell your spouse you love them. I'm sure you are too damn busy earning "you're welcomes" from cooking and washing dishes to make the time to say that.

Therefore, the next time someone says "Thank you" to you, remember what I've said and do yourself a favor by saying something such as this, "You're welcome, and by the way, would it be too much trouble for you to take a gun and shoot me?"

And one more thing, thank you for taking the time to read this.

If I say, "thank you for writing this", will you tell me "you're welcome"?
