How To Play Free Online Black Jack
On my Google Homepage I have several games that when the mood strikes, I play a few minutes of Black Jack. This game is for entertainment only and there is absolutely no prizes, rewards or cash. The game is simply a means of changing the pace and taking a brief break from routine.
I find the game of Black Jack offered by Google is programmed very similarly to games of cards you may find on many video gaming sites. The Google version allows the player to wager $10 to $100
per hand. All players start with an initial bank of $100 to $1000. The object of Black Jack is to beat the dealer by coming closest to a card count of 21. Each player is dealt two cards initially and has the option of dealing more cards in the attempt to reach 21.
The value of all cards is determined by the face of the card. A two is worth two points. A four is worth four points and so on. The ace is worth either one point or eleven points depending on how the player wants to play its hand. The Jack, Queen and King are worth ten points. If the player or dealer acquires an Ace and a card equal to ten points, which is an automatic Black Jack. The player receives a payout that is one and a half times what is bet.
In most card scenarios, the player is dealt two cards that do not equal Black Jack. For example a player may be dealt a six card and a seven card which equals 13. In this situation since the number is low, the player will want another card. So, the player hits deal and hopefully it will be a low card. Let's say the player receives a third card and it is a seven. The player then has a hand equal to 20. This is very close to 21. So, the player will click on the button that says, "stand."
At this point the dealer will either receive more cards to get as close to 21 as possible. The dealer will always stand on 17. It is a rule of the thumb in Black Jack to always stand on 17. If the dealer does select more cards, the object is not to go more than 21. If the dealer or the player goes over 21, there is an automatic bust for that player and the game is over.
