Life
Poetry: An Emotional Expression of Thoughts
I sit and ponder the days that have passed
I see the kids playing in the leaves
And remember my younger days
When worries were yet an unknown discovery
When dreams stood at every corner
Despite all I had ever hoped
Life became an ugly spider
Attaching itself onto every struggle
Never letting go
I tried and tried to break myself free
From the tangled web of pain
But no use
I was constantly drowning
Under the rapid waves
I lay and ponder the memories that have passed
I see the schools of fish swimming through the water
And remember my younger days
When love was yet a silly myth
When laughter filled every breeze
Despite all I had ever hoped
Life became a hopeless object
Engaging itself around every emotion
Never letting go
I tried and tried to break myself free
From the ruined mess of sadness
But no use
Life failed to make me happy
And here I am
Many years later
Crying, screaming, shaking
Knowing that life failed to make me happy
