Deep sea fishing in Southern California is a real treasure. It has some of the best fishing water in the world. It is known for its' Tuna and Marlin. If you enjoy the challenge of man against beast Tuna and Marlin fishing is your challenge. Deep sea fishing for these fish is like going on a Safari. The only difference is that you are on water. Make no mistake it is just as dangerous. Marlins can weigh up to 1000 lbs. An average weight of 100 to 400 lbs.

The sea is a world in itself. When you are there anything can happen. The water can be calm one minute yet turn with very little notice. Big game fish are as unpredictable as the sea they swim in.

Deep sea fishing is relaxing, exciting, frustrating, and boring. All of those emotions can be rolled into a short span of time. But there is something about the sea that makes you want to go back. Big game fishing is a duel with the men of the sea. The Tuna, the Marlin all are Big Game hunting. When you hook one of these big guys they are not just fish, they are opponents. It is a battle that could go either way or it could be a draw. Win or lose, without a doubt, there is a story to tell.

Boats are certainly better equipped today, but allow yourself to think of a time when it was a true challenge of man against nature. Man is still no match for the sea or the creatures that swim in it. The sea is there domain. Man wishes to master it but has not yet found a way. So he goes deep sea fishing to challenge the creatures of the deep.
