Review of the Nokia 5300 XpressMusic Slider Phone

Nokia 5300 XpressMusic phone caught my eye immediately. It had to have been the coolest phone I'd seen in a while. I picked it up and held it, hoping I might be able to afford it without an upgrade. I asked the assistant how much it cost, and they looked it up, two hundred dollars without an upgrade. I thought to myself 'that's a pretty hefty price to pay for a phone. Well what features does it have?'. I asked the store assistant and they told me all about the phone and it's great features: IM (AIM, Yahoo, MSN, and ICQ)
Music Player
1.3 Megapixel Camera
Bluetooth Connections
Great for Texting
All these hot features rolled into one phone, it seemed too good to be true. And it was. I went ahead an purchased the phone on the spot thinking it'd be a great investment. This was the first time I had spent this amount of money on a small gadget like a cellular phone. I took it home and put it together, being somewhat of a technological geek it was quick to put together and get in working order. The next day I arrived at work, expecting to show off my phone I had never seen anyone have before. It just so happened that the first co-worker I told, had a sister with the exact same phone. Well, her sixth one to be exact. She explained to me how the phone was poor quality, and her sister had to exchange her phone on six different occasions from reasons varying from the speaker going out, to freezing issues. I tried in my mind to pass it off as a fluke and assumed it would never happen to me.
