Photoshop Effect - How to Create Tiger Text

You can create many different text effects in Photoshop. This is the latest text effect that I have come up with. To me it looks like a tiger skin. So, that is why I call this text effect Tiger effect. Please look at the image that I have provided to see the ending results. This
tutorial is easy enough for beginners and for the advance. In this tutorial I will show you how to create the Tiger Text Effect in Photoshop.

How to Create Tiger Text in Photoshop

Step 1

Open your Photoshop program and let it load. Next you will need to create a new file. Click File > New to create a new file. Create your canvas about 500 pixels by 500 pixels. Set your background to white and click OK.

Step 2

Select your type tool from your toolbar. Draw a rectangle across your canvas big enough to type your text in. Now go to the top of your Photoshop window and enter the following in the type tool options.

Font - Arial Black
Size - 120pt
Color - Orange - # f 2671b

Step 3

Click inside your rectangle and type what you want.

Step 4

Now you will need to Resaterize your layer. Right click on your Type layer and select Resaterize Type. If you do not see your Layers Panel then click Window > Layers and that will bring your Layers Panel up.

Step 5

Set your background color to black in your tool bar.

Step 6

Go to the top of your Photoshop window and click Filter > Brush Strokes > Angled Strokes. The Angled Strokes dialog box will pop up and you will need to enter the following values.

Direction Balance - 60
Stroke Length - 45
Sharpness - 3

Then click OK.

Step 6

Right click on your top layer and select Blending Options from the pop up menu. The Blending Options dialog box will pop up. This is where you will apply the rest of your effects to get the Tiger Text Effect.

Drop Shadow

Click on the word Drop Shadow. Make sure that you click on the word so that it is highlighted. Enter the following values in the fields.

Blend Mode - Multiply
Color - a29f9d
Opacity - 100%
Angle - 0
Use Global Light - Checked
Distance - 10
Spread - 0
Size - 6
Contour - Linear
Anit-aliased - Unchecked
Noise - 0

Bevel and Emboss

Now click on the word Bevel and Emboss and enter the following values.
