Three Notably Bad Eating Establishments in Denver, Colorado

There Are Many GREAT Restaurants in Denver - These Are Not on the "A" List

Downtown Denver has a lot of great restaurants. Restaurants come and go, even if they are successful. The owners get bored or the customers get bored or something new opens up. That is the name of the game. You can usually tell when they are starting to

go downhill because things that used to be notable become less than they were previously.

The 1515 Restaurant - Market Street
One example of this is a well known, and not inexpensive restaurant on Market street. I refer to the 1515 Restaurant. If you talked to 50 people who have eaten at this restaurant I would say 48 of them would, except for the prices, give t thumbs up. However if the people you talked to had eaten there on a holiday or Sunday when the 1515 Restaurant has only a buffet to offer, the rating would not be very good.

For my part I understand that any restaurant can have a bad day. What makes the difference for me is how the management reacts to your complaint, informing them at things are not right. At the 1515 Restaurant the food and service were so different from their normal operation it was almost as if an entire new and untrained kitchen staff and service personnel were on duty. That day we were displeased with both the food, or lack there of, and the service. The bottom line is that when we complained we were told the manager is not there on buffet days and there was nothing anyone could do. For me that does it, unless invited to a non buffet meal at the 1515 Restaurant where someone else is paying, I do not plan to return there again.
