This simple vintage window inspired creation is the perfect way to incorporate your love of all things vintage and musical into your Christmas decorations. If you are lucky enough to come across some vintage Christmas Carol music it is the perfect material for this simple craft project. Don’t worry, if you love the vintage look, but don’t have vintage Christmas Carol music, you can still make this simple home decor project with a few extra steps!

To Make This Vintage Window Christmas Carol Sheet Music Art Project You Will Need:

1 Wooden Window (with glass intact)
Vintage Christmas Carol Sheet Music
Red Velvet or Black Velvet Christmas Ribbon
Staple Gun or Tack
Decoupage Medium
Paint Brush
Picture Hanging hook
Paint (optional)
Spray Snow (optional)

Now, the first step is to address the condition of your vintage or new window. You may need to add a coat of paint to achieve the look you want. I always recommend using milk paint. It gives a clean look to a vintage wood window. It also gives an aged look if you are stuck using a new wood window from the local Home Depot. Simply paint your window out and let it dry.

Now, take your vintage Christmas Carol sheet music to the local copy store. Have them make you photocopies of your original sheet music so you do not have to ruin it to make this simple Christmas art project.

Now, you can cut your Christmas carol sheet music photocopies down to the size for the windowpanes in your vintage window or tear them into medium sized pieces. Either way, paint on a coat of decoupage onto the front of the sheet music. Press it into the glass from behind the window. Paint on another layer of decoupage behind the paper to help hold it into place.

Now, use an exacto knife to cut and clean up any edges of your Christmas Carol sheet music so it fits neatly into place.

Now, let the decoupage dry completely before moving onto to any more steps.

Lay you vintage window front side down. Install your picture hanging hooks onto the back of the wood frame.
