Christmas is coming, and every young boy will be hanging up his fuzzy red stocking, eagerly awaiting the visit of Santa Claus. What will he find in the stocking on Christmas morning when he arrives wide-eyed in the living room?

Of course, the job of stuffing the stockings actually falls to the young boy's parents, and the task can be harder than it looks! A Christmas stocking is small and oddly shaped. To please the stocking owner, it should be well stuffed on Christmas morning.

Ages One to Three

1. Stuffed Toys

Babies will love to get a new plush toy, teddy bear, or squishy truck or rattle. Older toddler boys love toys too!

2. Small Books

There are soft stitched books about ABCs, numbers, colors, shapes, and more that are perfect for toddler boy's stockings. There are also many small sized board books with the same topics that could fit into a Christmas stocking.

3. Blocks or Building Toys

A small pack of wooden or plastic blocks could fit into most Christmas stockings. Large size building blocks are another great thing to include. These are especially great if the boy already has some of his own.

Ages Four to Seven

1. Cars and trucks

Matchbox and hotwheels cars, trucks, and other vehicles are a favorite of boys in this age range. And, these cars are the perfect size to stuff in a Christmas stocking.

2. Small books and fun pads

Comic books, paperback children's books, coloring books, and fun and activity pads are great stocking stuffers for boys of this age. The soft-sided books can roll up and slide into the Christmas stocking easily.

3. Stickers

Stickers come in many great styles and designs: everything from race cars to bugs to alphabet letters to cartoon characters. Boys will love to find stickers of their favorite things in their Christmas stocking.

4. Candy

At this age, boys can eat any type of Christmas candy you can fit into their stocking. Candy canes are a necessary addition to any Christmas stocking. Chocolate bells, santas and holiday treats are great to fill in the spaces left after the other stocking stuffers are put in.
