The Xbox360 was released far earlier than the otehr consoles however it lacks in its performance. It is able to run games in High Definition however that new technology only makes it king among old consoles. All the next generation consoles have the ability to play High Definition games, and not only that. The other consoles have more features along with it, thus putting the Xbox360 at a loss.
The PS3 has the most advanced graphics out of the new consoles. The PS3 supports blu-ray disks which hold up to 10 times what other disks hold. The system itself has better hardware overall, however this does not make it superior to other consoles. The cost of the PS3 is more than the Xbox360 and Wii put together. The cost to make a PS3 is more than what Sony is selling it for, thus a loss for the company.
The Wii shares very few similarities with the other consoles. The Wii does not focus on better graphics, or better disks that hold more information. The Wii focuses on how the game is played by using a remote control that uses motion sensors to make the game feel more realistic. The Wii makes the gamer use more movements and actions that other consoles don't let you have. The Wii is a cheaper, less advanced console that does not compete with hardware, but competes with creativity.
