One thing I didn't like in this book was the time in which I got to read. I would have enjoyed reading how Gawain acted between the new years. It wasn't until the end of the book that Gawain showed a little fear of The Green Knight. If I could have seen how he acted during the year, I may have been able to understand his feelings towards the situation better. If he had felt that he was going to die, his actions could have shown it. The other people within the town would have questioned him about what he was going to do. If Gawain felt that he was going to survive, he probably would have joked around about it and pretended that it was nothing. If he felt that he was going to die, he may have showed some fear in his conversations and would get nervous whenever The Green Knight was mentioned. I had to try and understand how Gawain felt within the details the author gave me, but I felt that it was not enough.
