wheelchair. While I have personally been to all of these locations, I can't speak for those needing a wheelchair. I am only going on my observations at these places.

North Bend State Park is located in western West Virginia between Clarksburg and Parkersburg, West Virginia. North Bend State Park has a lot of facilities that accommodate wheelchairs. The lake at North Bend State Park offers a handicap accessible fishing pier, a half mile long trail is accessible to wheelchairs, and numerous game equipment. Restrooms near the trail and game equipment is handicap accessible as well.

For those visiting the central West Virginia area (south of Clarksburg, West Virginia), the central West Virginia lakes all offer handicap accessible fishing. These lakes are Sutton, Burnsville, Stonewall, and Summersville. Many state parks in the area provide handicap accessible accommodations. The New River Gorge Bridge (as seen on West Virginia's state quarter) also has a handicap accessible overlook.

The Greater Wheeling Trail is a great reclaimed rail line that is now a multi-use trail running through Wheeling. The trail is paved and offers numerous handicap accessible points of entry. In places, the trail runs along a scenic creek stocked with trout.

The West Virginia State Wildlife Center offers a variety of fish and animals for people to see. The center is handicap accessible and offers a trail running through the woods. The trail provides an opportunity to view native wildlife in a natural setting.

Snowshoe Mountain Resort is the largest ski area in West Virginia. Snowshoe offers the chance for the disabled to ski and enjoy the snowy mountainside with their family. The facilities at Snowshoe are very nice and makes a great destination for weekend trips or vacation in the winter or any other time of the year.
