I bought your book this past Monday & finished it last night [Thursday]. I loved the book simply because I could relate in so many ways. From the baby daddy drama & still dealing with him on "occasions", having multiple partners & learning from that experience to dealing with trying to create something out of my life while also balancing single mother hood. As I was jumping from chapter to chapter it was an exhausting emotional roller coaster as I recalled so many events in my past that made me realize how strong & resilient I really am. Most importantly I learned so many of life's lessons and am still learning. + I briefly grew up in St. Albans too & attended Andrew Jackson H.S.

We all make mistakes. Why are we so quick to judge. Nobody wants to do bad for them selves or the ones they love. Telling something that is heavy on your heart can be therepeutic. Especially after having your business thrown to the world. It's terrible that no one wants to hear what a women has to say in this day and age. Woman are still considered sluts and hos so often it's sickening. What about the wrong the men in the book commit. What about the roles they play in the story. They were wrong too, so why are they not hos and sluts. What difference does it make why the book was written or who wrote it for that matter if you have nothing positive or uplifting to say. You contribute to making matters worst . Point is we all make mistakes, she just had enough courage to face up to hers and speak up about it.

Carmen I just purchased your book on Sun. 9/16/07 and finish reading the book in 2 days flat(would have been 1 day, but I had to work). It was a excellent book, well written and it amazed me of how people are in front of the media but behind close doors it is another subject. I hope God bless you and your daughter with well deserved blessings.

This was a good book. Like some people say this is a lesson learned and no i don't see her as a slut. I see her as a real fucking woman. People who say that are small minded and never look what's inside. Shit they probably never read the book. It's YOUR story and you should tell it. Do you mama!!!!! Fuck these hatin ass people.
