Having grown up in Windsor all of my life, and being an avid shopper, I would like to think I know quite a lot about shopping in Windsor. Windsor, Connecticut is a small town, with a population of about 28,000 people. Small business in Windsor flourishes, although I would say that the retail sector does less well. The average income in this small town is $32,000, which is quite low. Thus, any companies that want to sell product, especially luxury goods, face significant obstacles in Windsor as the average citizen does not have much disposable income. This hip beauty salon is owned by partners Will and Trey; Will does hair and Trey does massage. The salon has been very successful- haircuts are $35 for women, and a gift certificate any woman would love! Will used to work in NYC as a hairdresser and is renowned in the area for a good cut. The salon also offers other great services to give as a gift, such as a massage, manicure, or pedicure. Also, the salon always has an extensive line of both domestic and European hair products, which any woman would love.

Lucinda's Beads:
Lucinda has a quaint bead shop, and although I am not a beader, she offers amazing classes where she teaches and aids you along making a watch, bracelet, or other accessories of you choice. This shop has great quality beads and Lucinda will help you make anything you'd like. Service is excellent. She also started a new class, Lamp work beads. Students will be able to create their own glass beads over a flame. It is a lot of fun and you can create a personal gift or something for yourself in an afternoon. But if you like me and don't have the time to bead, she sells some amazing necklaces, earrings, hairclips, and bracelets pre-made. She picks them up all over New England and she has excellent taste, so a gift from Lucinda's is a thoughtful one.
