Review: Denver's Adams Mark Hotel

On the Mall and on the Ball - the Mark is a Great Hotel

Denver's Adams Mark hotel is one of the keystone residence locations for visitors to Denver for conventions. Able to host large meetings on it's own "The Mark" has a superior advantage in that it's location is so tonally central. Being just ½ block from

the popular 16th Street Mall the Mark is close to everything. Access to the convention center, major eating and shopping destinations, sports stadiums and other hotels all by walking or taking the 16th street trams. The rooms are large, even the regular non-suite rooms. Most are double double rooms, with two queen size beds in the room. Even with the two beds there is sufficient room for a good sized desk in most rooms and chest with entertainment center. The staff is very helpful and although appreciative of tips you do not get the feeling they are hanging waiting for a tip or an increase on what ever tip is given. Because they are like that I tend, actually, to tip more than normal.

The hotel has a rotating constant upgrade and renovation program that strives to keep the standards high. The engineering staff is very prompt at responding to any problems in the rooms. The management are extremely helpful and thoughtful in addressing any problem areas.

One of the most impressive things about the hotel is it's own conference facilities. Often conventions based at the big convention center will also have auxiliary events at the Mark. The business center needs to be enlarged and supplied with more equipment for expanded Internet use. This is something they are working on and they understand the importance of this area.

The restaurants in the hotel are said to be fine but with so many great restaurants in the nearby mall and LoDo Denver area most visitors tend to go out of the hotel to eat. I guess that is just not an area the hotel has chosen to concentrate on but the food they prepare for private parties and banquets is very good, well prepared and efficiently served. It would seem that serving large groups is harder than a normal restaurant so if they wanted to excel at the hotel restaurant, rather than just being an also ran, in that area, they could do it if they wanted to do so.
