Book Review: The Purpose Driven Life

I must advise that this book is one of the most exceptional Christian "How to Self Help" books I have read in several years. The book really gives you time to think about why you were put on this planet. It takes you on a journey of how to discover your life's purpose. Many people struggle with the question of whom we are and why were we put on this planet? The book really allows one to focus on what is truly important and how to go after your purpose; become your purpose and even help other discover theirs.

The author Rick Warren advised that one only reads one chapter a day to insure that the message sinks into your soul and mind. Each chapter is relatively short with a strong biblical message and meaning. Rick Warren is the founding pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, one of the largest and best-known churches. His previous book, The Purpose-Driven Church, has sold over a million copies in 20 different languages. He was also the winner of the Gold Medallion, which is an honor and was selected as one of the 100 Christian Books that changed the 20th Century. Needless to say his background warrants such a wonderful book of self discover through Christian principles.
