Free Fun at Christmas!

Regifting is one of those Christmas no nos that I personally just love to do! Secretly I think a lot of people regift quite a few items every year whether they want to admit it or not. So, why not face the regifting head on and throw a Christmas party where the whole purpose is to regift! These ideas for throwing a regifting party are perfect for a club party, office party, or even a neighborhood party where everyone gets the joke!

1. Invitations

So, to start your regifting Christmas party off right, you should definitely reuse old Christmas cards for invitations! The whole point is to reuse old Christmas gifts, so take it one step further and reuse the old Christmas cards you really do not want.

For instance, our mortgage loan officer from the bank sends out massive amounts of Christmas cards every year. I don’t want the card, it looks cheap, and their signature is written haphazardly or even stamped.

Dentists, doctors, and law offices are all notorious of resending these Christmas cards. They are all perfect for your regifting party!

Be funny about it. Cut out a piece of white paper and write the invitation info inside. Tape it over the inside writing of the card with some duct tape!  You could also just black out the previous writing with a black marker!

2. Draw Names

At the regifting party have a jar ready with all of your guests names on it. They can draw a name, and then give them the recycled gift they brought!

You could also draw names before the party and assign each person someone to bring a gift for. This way they will have a better idea of what to regift.

A final version would be to have everyone set their gifts on a table. Divide them if they are male or female specific gifts. As the host you can draw a name and the guest has to go choose a Christmas regift out of the pile.

3. Food

Ok, I would like to come up with some cute leftover food idea for your regifting party, but really, I recommend drawing the line at this step. Serve great food! Serve great wine and booze too. There has to be some reason to come to this regifting Christmas party after all!

4. Wrapping Paper
