Butch Johnson


This is Butch Johnson's fifth consecutive trip to the Olympics. While the 51-year-old lives in the rural town of Woodstock, Connecticut he did graduate from Bartlett High School in Webster, Massachusetts.

Butch Johnson is a national champion who also holds two world records. One world records is for an "18-arrow match with 179, 36-arrows finals total of 344." The other world records is for an "indoor 12-arrow match of 120." (Beijing Olympic Athletes)

Fencing

Tim Morehouse

Tim Morehouse attended Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. His NCAA fencing experience should serve him well in his first Olympics.

Gymnastics

Alicia Sacramone

Alicia Sacramone is an artistic gymnast from Winchester, Massachusetts. This is her first year at the Olympics.

Rowing

Michelle Guerette

Michelle Guerette is a Harvard University graduate who lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Michelle Guerette originally hails from the New England state of Connecticut.

Listed as Michelle Guerette's place of employment is Home Depot. Home Depot is part of the elite Olympic Job Opportunities Program, which enables qualifying Olympic athletes to have a work schedule flexible enough to accommodate their Olympic training.

In order to be considered for the Olympic Job Opportunities Program, the athlete must be ranked within the "top 25 internationally, in an Olympic event, by Track & Field News or the World Rankings in Athletics list ," according to the program guidelines.

I notice most of them are from Northern Ma., where most big lottery winners are from also:-). I am from southeast, I think it's time for a move :-). great informative article, thanks for sharing it with us.
