In my last Photoshop tutorial I showed you how to create a Pink Glass Heart. In this tutorial I will show you how to create a Blue Glass Heart. This heart is about the same as the pink heart but the effects are different and you will need to use totally different colors. The Gradient Overlay and the Stroke Effect is different on this tutorial. I will write the first part of this tutorial for beginners and the second part for the advance. So if you are an advance user please skip down to the advance part of this tutorial.

How to Create a Blue Glass Heart in Photoshop for Beginners

Open your Photoshop program and let it load. Click File > New at the top of your Photoshop window to create a new canvas. Create your canvas 250 pixels by 250 pixels. Set your background to white and click OK on that window.

Select your heart shape tool. Click on your shape tool in your toolbar and hold it down until the menu drops down. Then select Custom Tools. At the top of your window you will see a shape and a box that you can drop down. Click the arrow to drop that box down and select the heart shape.

Draw a heart on your canvas. You can draw it any size you want. I have created two different sizes to give you an example. Please look at the images that I have provided.

Locate your Layers Panel. If you do not see your Layers Panel then press F7 on your keyboard. You will see two layers in your layers panel. Click one time on the Shape Layer. Now right click on that layer and select Rasterize Layer from the pop up menu.

Now you will need to open your Blending Options to apply the effects needed to make the heart look like glass. Right click on your Shape Layer and select Blending Options from the pop up menu. This will open your Blending Options Panel and you will need to enter the following below.
