Product Review: Hershey's Milk Chocolate and Caramel Candybar

Hershey's Milk Chocolate is one of the most popular candybars around. Over the years, I have seen Hersheys come out with different types of candybars and they continue to do so, nevertheless I was a little surprise to see a Hershey's Milk Chocolate and Caramel candybar in the candy aisle.

The package of Hershey's Milk Chocolate and Caramel candybar shows a piece of Hershey's chocolate, broken in half with caramel oozing out of its center. The caramel looks thick and luscious and the chocolate looks dark and solid and just plain good. I bought one candybar.

I really like Hershey's Milk Chocolate candybar, and Hershey's with Almonds is my one of my favorites. So I was looking forward to trying this candybar and after doing so, I was only slightly disappointed. Okay,here is the thing, the Hershey's Milk Chocolate and Caramel candybar, as a concept, feels a little lazy. I know this may seem like a strange thing to say, and even stranger considering if you knew of my belief that the simpler the concept, when it comes to candy, the better tasting it is. But after trying Hershey 's Milk Chocolate and Caramel candybar, I kept picturing a guy or woman in an office, raising his or her hand and blurting out, "Why don't we put caramel in a Hershey's bar?" and someone going, "Okay, meeting over."

This candybar felt like a simple concept that was not clearly thought through. The Hershey's Milk Chocolate and Caramel candybar is broken up into 4 chocolate squares and as in other Hershey's candybars it looks and tasted appetizing. As I bit into one of the squares the caramel poured out of it and it tasted fine.

To be honest, I am not madly in love with this candybar , for the reasons I mentioned above, and after eating one I could only think, "Is that it?" I like to think that a new candybar means, for the most part, new sensations, a new taste that explodes in your mouth which make you say, "Wow. Instead my reaction was so, so.

Hershey's Milk Chocolate and Caramel canybars is 1.3 oz and is a little smaller than the average Hershey's bar.
