Are you spending these bright and beautiful summer days with your kids, begging them to clean up after themselves? Are you watching them as they go out to the movies and to the pool with their friends and not wanting to spend any time at all with you? Then this article is for you! Here are ten ways to spend time with your kids (and their friends) and make even the most dreadful of duties (cleaning in my opinion) fun. Become the hit of your kid's friend's lives and then they will want to be with you!

1) Rock around the house! Get your kids together and have them play their favorite music as loud as they want (on a Saturday afternoon of course!) and clean in time with the music. They will love it that you want to share in what is very important to them and in return they will find crazy ways to help you get your house clean!

2) Game Day! Kids of all ages will enjoy time spent together playing various games and munching on snacks of all kinds. Either use your own games, or have your guests bring some of their favorite. This can be done for any group, just your family, their friends or even a church group. Make it all day Saturday or and evening and night of fun for adults. Include your favorite music, and munchies.

3) Explore Native foods together! Get a cookbook from another country and make a dish or plan a meal around a particular native holiday, or just the native food. For an educational experience, have the school age kids look up and talk about the meaning of the holiday or tell something about the country.

4) Relax together! Some days you only feel like hanging out in your PJ's and talking or watching TV together. Let your kids know that you are just like them and just be yourself with them. Watch TV with them or whatever they want to do. This is also good for rainy days.

5) Family Project! Plan a family project together, a trip or just a shopping trip, and have a garage sale to save up for the outing together. This will bring your family together and help your kids learn to work together as a team.
