Political Concerns and Feelings Among Residents in the Bay Area

San Jose, California - From the San Francisco Bay to the heart of the Silicon Valley, many residents are dissatisfied with the political status quo and are demanding major changes.

Among the top issues among residents in the Bay Area (cities in the areas around San Jose, San Francisco, and Oakland) these are among the top that concerns the average resident with the change they are demanding for.

Health Care

The current situation with for-profit health insurance is a disaster with up to 80% of Californian residents demanding universal health care.

With such high demand for a social service, many residents are whiling to pay even a little extra in taxes for it. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger made it his promise to make universal health care a reality in California.

Many families can't afford health insurance and dose that could agree that it has never came through for them. A lot of business sees universal health care as a better alternative then having to include health benefits to employees.

Some have argued that despite its "minor flaws", for profit - health insurance is more reasonable medical system then the universal idea. Supporters of health insurance claim that the market allows the cost of medicine to stay low allowing it easily accessible to many also that the ill will not has to put up with all the bureaucracy and the long lines that allegedly come with universal health.

Yet the problem with health insurance is that its coast is a burden on both families and business besides the idea of having the market involved in medicine just says that a doctor will save a life if they could profit from it. The fear of bureaucracy and the scary "long lines" is just a myth put out by the American Medical Association (an organization whose ability to butcher mass number rivals that of Hitler and Stalin).

Education

Both adults and student residents agree on two things about education in the Bay Area. It is important to have one that is strong and that the qualities of our schools are below average standards.

Unlike Erich Rosenberger I actually believe what you have to say about people in California. Oh and Erich Rosenberger , before you recommend some one a book, you should learn to read. If you knew how to read, you would have noticed the word "Resources".

OH MY GOD... Did I just read where you compared the AMA (which I'm not a member of) to HITLER and STALIN? Are you freakin' kidding me? Son, you really need to go read a history book... or any book for that matter. Your ignorance knows no bounds.

Honestly... how does junk like this get on the front page? I don't imagine you have a SOURCE for that 80% number.... I'm a doctor in California, and I can tell you FOR CERTAIN that no where near 80% of my patients want "Universal Health Care" that's run by the government. Your article is a lot of speculation with a definite left-wing slant... nothing more. Shame on AC for "featuring" this...
